My research says that viruses are 1000x smaller than the mesh on any mask. Why are studies needed???

As long as you are going to ask for people in these agencies to come forward, also ask them how studies that clearly cherry pick the data to produce the results they want get published? I'm not talking about simple p hacking, but for example restricting the time window for the analysis so that the data is either going up or down as you need, but if you zoom out just a little bit, there is nothing to see. I just want to know how do these studies get published? Do the authors actually think they're doing good work? Almost all the studies that the CDC published in MMWR from the beginning of the pandemic were garbage: without even having to look and see whether they did their math right, you could see from the study design that the results were going to be: garbage.

I'm curious to know how you get an emergent property of complete incompetence from a group of well-educated people who should know better.
