Where do people think that fact checkers come from? For example, the British FullFact agency lives off the Mall between Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and the top of Whitehall in the same building as the Institute for Government (founded by Tony Blair) and the Privy Council legal department - whether or not it has any connections with these bodies it would certainly be cheaper to conduct research from a basement in Bermondsey. Funders include or have included Soros’s Open Society Foundation (hollow laugh from the grave of Karl Popper), Google, Facebook, Omidyar Network (Luminate), What’s App including Vaccine Grant Program, Nuffield Foundation etc etc

https://fullfact.org/about/funding/

But, of course, they say the are “independent” and they “don’t take sides”

It's strange they never fact-checked Fauci either: "So even though there are breakthrough infections with vaccinated people, almost always the people are asymptomatic and the level of virus is so low it makes it extremely unlikely — not impossible but very, very low likelihood — that they’re going to transmit it" [1]

CDC also not getting fact checked "the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that fewer than 0.1% of the 164 million vaccinated Americans have been infected with the virus, and only 0.001% of the vaccinated have died." [2]

Perhaps they also missed when Rochelle Walensky said "“Our vaccines are working exceptionally well,” ....“They continue to work well for Delta, with regard to severe illness and death – they prevent it. But what they can't do anymore is prevent transmission."

The fact that it's some unknown pill enhancement site, not BJM actually gives LeadStroies a good cover and helps obscure a much more troubling part, that is legitimizing the use of atrazine as a pesticide.

Your comparison to debunking martians is unfortunately quite exactly what is happening here.

I don’t use Facebook and am considering dropping twitter. I canceled my NYTimes subscription after 30 years because the hypocrisy of what is “fact” was too much. SubStack is one of the only free speech venues left and soon they too will come under the attack by fact checking morons.

Lead Stories did this on several stories that people posted on my Facebook page "Anti-Vaccine Mandate." They fact-checked things the authors didn't say. Facebook used the fact-check to put a box over the article and so on.

Charles, can you post those fact checks, here? I'd love to see more examples of this. Thanks.

Sure. I took screenshots of most of it and uploaded them to a website that I manage for reference materials. I went through a process with Facebook and Lead Stories to challenge one of their fact checks. I was detailed, polite, and followed their rules exactly. They would not respond. I found "Lead Stories" Twitter account and fact checked their lies on there.

If you need additional information please let me know.

Just came across this hard hitting journalist digging into why we need so many boosters:

"Why You'll Need to Get COVID-19 Boosters Again and Again" (https://time.com/6198402/covid-19-boosters/)

"People look at these data and wonder, what is the point of getting the vaccines if they will not prevent symptomatic infections, and the protection does not last? Well, to expect robust protection from just the primary series of any vaccines is unreasonable—and was always likely to be—but somehow society has placed too high a bar on what is considered an acceptable number of doses for COVID-19 vaccines. Instead, we need to understand that we’re going to be getting boosters in the foreseeable future, and to appreciate their benefits."

People are naturally trusting of authority until they realize the shepherd also raises sheep to eat. And most Americans do not know that Obama made delivering propaganda prepared for foreign audiences to Americans legal when, in 2012, he neutered the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948. What flabbergasts me is that, given verifiable evidence, they still don't want to see or hear it.

Kathy, it is maddening, they would rather jump back into their iPhone and immerse themselves in Tic Tok stupidity as opposed to seeing reality.

I guess that is what it results in when you have been demoralized and then undergone normalization. I used to think that those old Communist tactics would never work on us Americans, but the "science of revolution" is very well developed.

You wrote above: "Why is that? Feel free to give your opinion below in the comments."

Funny, I wasn't too free to give my opinion earlier when you blocked me? Ironically, it was on the very same topic as here that you blocked me from replying on.

It's patently obvious that Maddow's statement "the virus stops with every vaccinated person" is an exaggeration. No vaccine has a 100.000% efficacy. No one disputes that. However, with regard to breakthrough infections, which always happen because—you guessed it—no vaccine has a 100.000% efficacy, they were uncommon at the time, before newer variants arrived. I used the word "uncommon" previously, and you attempted to "fact check" me by supplying a link. The CDC link you provided stated the following, which I believe reinforces my "uncommon" qualifier:

"However, vaccine breakthrough infections occur in only a small fraction of all vaccinated persons and account for a small percentage of all COVID-19 cases (5–8). The number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths that will be prevented among vaccinated persons will far exceed the number of vaccine breakthrough cases."

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7021e3.htm

"Small fraction" == "uncommon", does it not?
