In addition to the Wired spin on the shut down of the lab as being politically motivated, the Atlantic this week coincidentally - not - has a long hit piece on Taubenberger, how his appointment is “cronyism,” how his government research grants are excessive and unjustified, and how the research he is doing with that money will not likely bear fruit. And now I read this. So thank you.

should all be closed immediately, forbidden, and also forbidden to export to other countries. We all know Wuhan now, and we all know there were several in Ukraine.

Bluesky...the only place left where Rasmussen has any credibility.

I'm surprised she didn't make up some data and give us some crappy "study" with colour coded maps on it.

Because nothing says serious science like colour coding.

She is just a completely shameless tool.

It would be nice to see some biology introduced to the discussion of Gain of Function which is decades old lab tool of producing synthetic clones with CRISPR sequences grown in E.coli because Mother Nature will NEVER replicate RNA in the wild with fidelity to culture and grow.

So much mythology has been spun up around the idea these molecules can spill from a petrie dish and behave in air the way they replicate in bacteria. ALL virology and GoF is done with these clones to design vaccines based on the bizarre idea that pure clones stuffed into rodents are a suitable model for human infection from RNA molecules in the wild. Let's do science!!

2016 MNIH funded GoF Review.. search for: stakeholder - stockpile - vaccines - however - the last notes in every GoF section that models may NOT reflect wild type virus or human immune response because RNA cannot pandemic only bad ideas spread with uniformity Nature can't.

I can understand why there is so much outrage at these closures. After all, these lucrative global pandemics aren't going to just happen all by themselves.

First, Rasmussen should be investigated for her conflicts of interest. Also, it seems that the people working in this place felt very comfortable in their environment, so much so that they felt free to poke holes in another person’s protective gear. The whole set up seems awash with corruption. Every-time RFK Jr shuts down something the cage rattlers go off on a tangent and of course that tangent is spewed out as evidence of RFK’s incompetence. The whole HHS appears steeped in a labyrinth of corruption.

I’m concerned as the above post under my name wasn’t written by me. How did this happen?
