For over two years, the virologist posed as a fact checker and biosafety expert on China, without disclosure of grants involving risky gain of function studies.
Wow. It seems like, if the facts are there to be found out, somebody could write a blockbuster expose that would become iconic, culturally, like All the President's Men. If ding-dongs like this Anderson have pertinent facts they are hiding, these facts can be found out. The societal impact of the pandemic vs, the impact of Watergate? C'mon. Why hasn't it been written? Maybe somebody's typing right now. I hope so.
I believe Matt Taibbi is working on a book about the Global Covid Grift that saw 100 million people thrown into poverty, while the rich got richer everywhere.
I agree with Branson Edwards earlier comment, someone needs to Michael Lewis this story into a stylized movie the public could easily digest and understand what happened. Have Margot Robbie sip champagne while she explains the Pangolin Papers.
At the moment, and that "moment" could be decades or more, the zoonosis-"nothing to see here"-narrative still dominates the collective public. They have no time to put in the work (and it is a lot of work) to understand what almost certainly happened in Wuhan.
The psychology of why so many are disinterested in even considering lab leak baffles me. It's almost as religious as the mask, this insistence of zoonosis. I wonder if the fervor to reject lab leak is artificially heightened in the US because it is seen as a concession to Trumpism? Are people in South Korea, France, or Poland more open to examining the evidence?
I have a suspicion that the reporter was tipped off by someone who works within the biomedical community and the reporter didn't realize all the background propaganda.

Incredible investigative work Paul.

Another one bites the dust. Another one and another one…….
Thank goodness for your willingness to ferret out these details. I’m interested in interviewing you on my radio show -- can we connect via email?
I have stopped taking Bloomberg seriously. No longer read.

If Anderson played a role in unleashing this stupid virus on the world, a little online harassment is the least she deserves.
I felt a bit bad for Anderson but by the end....
FWIW, she's a nicer profile photo here: https://www.doherty.edu.au/people/dr-danielle-anderson It might be nicer to use a slightly less sensational headline photo
