About 30 years ago, when I was still a practicing physician, I stopped reading The Journal of the American Medical Association and The New England Journal of Medicine for two main reasons: 1. I noticed that the authors conclusions were beginning to diverge from my conclusions based on their results. A little research at that time convinced me that the authors conclusions always seemed to align with whatever entity was giving them grants, and 2. The number of pharmaceutical ads in the journals was increasing every year to the point that half the journal's pages were pharma ads. I would still read online articles and noticed that the methods and results began to make less sense. Then during Covid, outright falsification of data and retraction of legitimate papers that contradicted the mainstream media narrative. And finally, the inevitable nadir of the evolution of scientific publishing, the achievement of tabloid status.
Well Science magazine really tipped their hand in my estimation. Pharma’s tentacles run far and wide. They’ve captured so many “people” and organizations it makes your head spin. The constant disinformation we are hearing about this new health group is anger making and it’s only going to get worse. I’ve watched and listened to Dr. Bhattacharya tons of times and know him to be honest to a fault and passionate. I believe they need to pick carefully on who they allow to interview them.
Speaking of Harvard, DEI. Dr. Jordan Peterson breaks down what the media has framed as a battle between Harvard University and the Trump administration
While it takes more time to read the transcript, and I slapped my forehead at some of the questions, I'm grateful to read what was said. But annoyed people still don't want to know the whole story
Sadly, as one of the authors of the Great Barrington Declaration, Dr Jay is probably used to this sort of thing.
“Trust the Science” unless it is written in Science Magazine.

And that's why when it is possible, read the entire transcript. If the news has an agenda, bypass the news and go to the original source if possible.
Exactly. I just wish people were a little more articulate and precise in what exactly they're saying.
I know who Kevin Hall is, I've been reading his research for years. I don't think much of the quality of his research. I wish he had stayed retired.
