When we saw U.S researchers travelling to the Wuhan lab to see what they could learn about the origins of the virus outbreak, but came away empty handed as China wasn’t cooperating and the lab had been “cleaned up.” Was that smoke and mirrors? And why go to the Wuhan lab to get answers anyway when it came from a wet market? It’s all been so confusing. Paul, do you have an idea why the continued cover-up? Is it because it wasn’t zoonotic therefore leaving them responsible? Funding issues and the like. Also, can you define chimeric? Well, they have done a good job with the propaganda. Anybody I mention the lab leak to, accuse me of going along with the conspiracy. I’ve sure had my eyes open to the extent of government control. The story behind this mess, if it ever truly comes out, must be huge. It’s hard to keep things straight when you’re lying.
You can never know why someone lies, can you? Seems like reputation and money are at stake in this case. Chimeric comes from the word "chimera" like the multi-creature monster.
Kristian Anderson pretty well showed what was going on with his tweet about the Chinese not being able "to do the work", evidently he hadn't read this Chinese study from 2007-
Not only are they capable, they've been at it for years pre-outbreak. And in BSL-2 labs no doubt....run away Kristian, real bad history.
As to Jane Qiu....go through her articles and it's almost painful the level of obfuscation and creative writing. She'd be good at writing fiction novels I would bet.
Honestly it just shows that the level of gullibility is high enough you don't have to demand too much to get effective results with your propaganda. Two words come to mind...lame and pathetic.
Yeah, I got that but I don't think a lot of folks understand the extent and length of time devoted to developing those chimeric strains. You can gain some understanding when you look at their numbering systems and realize it's relatively early on in 2007.
Anderson has to be aware of a paper like this that defines the state of the art and proposed paths of research. To me, it just makes his statements even more disingenuous and shows to what lengths a person would go.

Very grateful for these articles by Paul Thacker. A very fine journalist at the top of his game.
