Hotez and MSNBC are so floridly the "Nazi"-like authoritarian monster here. What a despicable shithead he is. Scary as hell that a children's hospital is associated with him.

Is it scary though really? Many white-collar professionales are actually deeply authoritarian, is one thing the pandemic really caused me to realize. They have to be, because the system is what bankrolls them. They would be nothing without their degrees or training, because as substantive skills get destroyed by our economic system, these types of jobs become more and more about being a yes-man and less and less about anything demonstrable.

Actually, Hotez and Texas Childrens are made for each other.

Hotez is a mediocre intellect, but he's got some skill exploiting bien pensant liberal vulnerabilities. They're already mired in a siege mentality and a status panic, and they already see science as a belief system that will always prove their righteousness. His reckless libels and militant sanctimony are like dope to a junkie.

Exquisitely worded. I'm making note of "status panic".

I can't recall where I first came across the term, but I'm glad I did. It helps explain quite a bit. I think it became highly relevant in 2016. All the liberals I knew back then were traumatised by Trump's electoral success. They'd been spoonfed a media diet of triumphalism and tribal preening. Then out of nowhere, the Great Orange Beast and his horde of deplorables were in power.

Peter Hotez is a Doctor of Medicine who apparently has no clue about the obligation for voluntary informed consent for vaccination.

Due to the wilful ignorance of Hotez and countless others like him, I suggest there is no valid consent for vaccination, as no-one is being properly informed about vaccine products and truly making a voluntary informed decision about these medical interventions, for themselves or their children.

There is no valid consent, certainly this cannot be obtained under coercion or mandates.

I wrote to Jesse M Ehrenfeld, President of the American Medical Association about this in September 2023, see my email below - I did not receive a response from Jesse Ehrenfeld...

For the attention of:

Jesse M. Ehrenfeld

President American Medical Association

Dear Jesse Ehrenfeld

Vaccination mandates violate a medical practitioner’s legal and ethical obligation to obtain informed consent for the medical intervention of vaccination, and yet vaccination mandates have been widespread during the international Covid-19 response.

Has the American Medical Association taken any action to challenge Covid-19 vaccination mandates?

Mandated vaccination is a coercive medical intervention which violates the American Medical Association Code of Medical Ethics, Opinion 2.1.1 Informed Consent, i.e. https://code-medical-ethics.ama-assn.org/ethics-opinions/informed-consent

QUOTE

Informed consent to medical treatment is fundamental in both ethics and law. Patients have the right to receive information and ask questions about recommended treatments so that they can make well considered decisions about care. Successful communication in the patient-physician relationship fosters trust and supports shared decision making.

The process of informed consent occurs when communication between a patient and physician results in the patient’s authorization or agreement to undergo a specific medical intervention. In seeking a patient’s informed consent (or the consent of the patient’s surrogate if the patient lacks decision-making capacity or declines to participate in making decisions), physicians should:

(a) Assess the patient’s ability to understand relevant medical information and the implications of treatment alternatives and to make an independent, voluntary decision.

(b) Present relevant information accurately and sensitively, in keeping with the patient’s preferences for receiving medical information. The physician should include information about: (i) the diagnosis (when known);(ii) the nature and purpose of recommended interventions; (iii)the burdens, risks, and expected benefits of all options, including forgoing treatment.

(c) Document the informed consent conversation and the patient’s (or surrogate’s) decision in the medical record in some manner. When the patient/surrogate has provided specific written consent, the consent form should be included in the record…

END OF QUOTE

Medical practitioners should not vaccinate people who are under duress to submit to this medical intervention, as there would not be valid consent for a medical intervention which is occurring under coercion.

Again, has the AMA taken any action to challenge coercive vaccination / vaccination mandates during the Covid-19 response?

I would appreciate your response on this vitally important matter of medical ethics.

Sincerely

Elizabeth Hart

It seems clear to me that people like Hotez no longer believe in informed consent because people with far more power and influence have told people like him that it will no longer be respected/needed. My question, I guess, is this: How can they be so sure?

DB7, who are these "people with far more power and influence" saying that informed consent "will no longer be respected/needed"?

Hotez had the key insight that a private citizen can exploit the national security state that Obama redirected domestically and that has expanded in the vacuum of the so-called Biden presidency to increase his own notoriety, influence and power. Any so-called expert regurgitating a regime narrative can turn themselves into a private attorney general of sorts by accusing their critics of “misinformation” and invoking the censorship and more coercive functions of the national security state against them. Then they can watch their own prestige grow as their critics (shout out to Alex Berenson) are silenced. The fact that Hotez did this in the vaccine context is beside the point - he just happens to be a supposed vaccine expert. If your knack is climate catastrophizing, you can accuse your critics of being Climate Change Denialists. Incant “misinformation” three times in the mirror and see how your critics are silenced or hauled into court. Do you specialize in doing medical experiments on children? Accuse your critics of spreading “misinformation” against Gender Affirming Care. Maybe they’ll even be criminally prosecuted like the resident MD in Texas. Hotezism is subject matter neutral. It is doing grave harm to our society and has effectively shut down a full and free debate about urgent issues. It is the opposite of science. The only way to stop Hotezism is to defeat the national security state and its censorship industrial complex, on which it is based.

“Earlier this year, Time Magazine named Hotez a “Science Warrior” and one of the 100 most influential people in global health.”

What a clown show!! Wonder who is at the top of the list. Maybe Albert Bourla, Pfizer’s head honcho and famous veterinarian who referred to anyone critical of his deadly poison as a criminal.

I’m reminded of just how insane these prestigious companies and organizations are in this ass backwards bizarro world. Remember Barack Hussein Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in his first year in office. He then proceeded to display his peaceful tendencies by bombing the shit out of anyone who stood in his way.

Unfortunately, he was just one of the doctors I listened to about the safe and effective narrative. The propaganda machine was hard at work. Sadly, between the anxiety over the virus and the confidence on the safety spewed daily, I succumbed. I am now injured which has exposed to me the total corruption of our health agencies, scientists, researchers, medical journal and more. I am angry at my self and the system. Pharma has great power and influence. Their budget includes paying people and institutions off. They are in charge. I saw a replay of an Anderson Cooper show in the early 2000’s called “too big to nail.” It was about the power of pharma. I wish there was a law that makes it illegal to push a product without disclosing the conflict of interest. Hotez is obviously well connected, but put on a pedestal regardless. The consequence of all this corruption is loss of trust in our institutions. But, nobody cares because their bank accounts are swelling.

Hotez is a prime example of projection when he says “The problem is the disinformation empire is so vast and pervasive”. He's been successfully riding the wave of grift generated by the “massive algal bloom of non-governmental organisations”* that make up the Censorship Industrial Complex** whose members include public health agencies, social media companies, the pharmaceutical industry, even the Department of Homeland Security, and innumerable other opportunists.

I never let any mention of Hotez pass without referencing this 2018 article by him, an opportunist’s how-to guide: “Crafting your scientist brand” https://journals.plos.org/plosbiology/article?id=10.1371/journal.pbio.3000024

Hotez has a large and highly influential following of authoritarian, anti-science fellow-travelers. The federal bureaucracies, legacy media cheerleaders, social media censors, and "fact checkers" are teeming with them.

Thank God Biden's Disinformation Governance Board was tabled within weeks of being announced. Unfortunately, the work is mostly still being done, albeit more undercover than it would have been.
